We just spent the May long weekend camping at the Taughannock Falls State Park. The Campgrounds have limited space in their campsites but the park itself is beautiful. A true "Nature's Cathedral" with spectacular views and a waterfall that is the highest "East of the Mississippi". Definitely worth a trek.

Absolutely beautiful setting in a Finger Lakes Gorge right on Cayuga Lake. You can take the drive up to the overlook to view it, or take the easy 3/4 mile level walk right to the base of the Falls and feel the spray!

Visiting at dusk was a perfect way to end the day.

I went to college in the are so I was familiar with this beautiful park and its falls. Visited it again during our trip to the wineries and although we did not stop for long, still enjoyed the peace and quiet while we were there, as well as the beautiful Taughannock Falls.

We visit frequently in all seasons and are never disappointed by the magnificent view. Great for photographers!!

Very nice falls and the walk from the parking lot is flat and a quick trip to get the blood flowing before you get a little tippsy from all of the wine tasting that is most likely on your agenda for being in the area.

Beautiful waterfall near Cayuga Lake with several hiking trails nearby. A must see if you are in the area.
