We visited the Seneca Wine Trail for Memorial Day Weekend 2012. Our preference is for quality wine and tastings with relaxing ambiance and a good view. We avoided large production locations such as Wagner that allow tour buses. In terms of taste, I prefer fuller bodied wines with a strong finish. I focused on whites, as that is what grows... More

This is the place for wine tasting. There are so many good wineries on this wine trial you will want for than one day. In the last five years many new wineries have opened and the trail is growing ever year. Once you have tried it you will go back.

Our family makes a wine trail trek about once a year, and we always end up at some of the wineries along this trail. A nice abundance of wineries to help keep the "party" hopping from joint to joint, and a lot of beautiful scenery, too.

After visiting the east shore of Seneca Lake in the Fall, we decided on this trip to visit the west shore of Seneca Lake and its wonderful wineries. A few of our favorites were Fox Ruby Vixen, and Lemberger were great, Torrey Ridge and Earle Estates (which had amazingly wonderful mead - if you have never tried mead, enlighten yourself... More

I'm a red wine lover and the reds are not what NY is known for. These are all micro-wineries. I'd never done a wine trail before, but this was not an experience I want to repeat. Too many people. Too loud. Bad wine.

Jam packed with wineries - and all of the wineries have great gift shops, most have restaurants, all have great people and loads of fun. If you're looking for diversity of flavors and a fun day, this is the one to start with!

Really enjoyed visits to Glenora, Lakewood, Belhurst, Wagner and The Red Newt. Good wines, interesting people and great settings. The wine pairing lunch at the Red Newt was amazing. Another interesting side trip was the Finger Lakes Distillery.

We hadn't been on the Seneca Lake wine trail in several years and found a few new wineries that we very much liked their wine. As always, everyone at each winery we stopped was very friendly although it was a hectic event weekend.
