The cave and the wine store in the very center of the tiny village of St. Em. turned out to be the most charming experience. We were treated with some 20 different wines to taste, and the most charming hostess - Anne - which ended up at our table introducing the different wines, vintages and tastes. One of the Chateau visits that is open all the time in St. Emilion. It's actually not the chateau but rather where they store and sell their wine ... just a 5 min walk from the main square in the town. Very informal ... just walk in.
