Not only was the view spectacular, it was a fairly cheap ticket! We took the round trip ride for 8 euros, but for the hikers they can take a 1 way for 6 euros. The views were unreal at the top and you literally feel like you are on top of the world. Definately recommend you take the time to... more

Just returned from a 5 day stay in Anacapri, I can still feel the hot sun on my arms and the cool breeze that blows over the top of Monte Solaro. Taking the chair lift up Mount Salerno and stopping to enjoy the view was possibly my favorite part about Capri. Being a single chair lift, you are forced to stop for a moment and enjoy the peace and quiet of the beautiful island. Once on top, you can walk around and enjoy one amazing view after another. Take a ride up to the top of Mount Solaro and be taken back by the beauty of the island. Beautiful views of the island and all of the surrounding areas! A must if on the Isle of Capri. We rode up and then hiked down which is quite a workout but still enjoyable....took about an hour or more. more

I spent 6 weeks in Italy this summer and visited Capri. My friends and I spent the 4E to ride the chair lift to the highest spot in Capri and it's one of my favorite things I did out of my whole trip to Italy. There is a little restaurant on top with chairs and tables and you can order... more

This is a great way to see the island, you get a fantasic view of the island and sea below. it cost 6 euro and takes 13 minutes each way. There is a bar at the top where you can have a nice drink to take in the view. more

A visit to Capri's version of Mt. Olympus is a MUST, especially if you need a break from endless, teeming hordes of tourists. The easiest way to climb Mount Solaro is on the chairlift (about 4 euros 1 way or 5 up and down!
