Our Bus Driver was very informative Re this attraction and you could put yourself back in the days when the Barracks were in use
You need to take the ferry from the jetty in Perth around $30 - $40. Free hop on hop off bus will take you around the island. You can do a tour to the barracks take can be booked from the information centre. Lots of other things to do here as well.
Well in a way it really shows what Rottnest was used for after looking through, Go have a drink and meal at the Rotto Pub and take care with our Quokkas
A 1.5 pleasant walk from town or catch the free accommodation transfer bus. Accommodation includes backpacker dorms, family units, individual units, facilities tidy. Dorm beds pricey but inexpensive compared to other Rottnest accommodation. No alcohol allowed.
