There are some great artefacts from the history of the island, and friendly, knowledgeable volunteers to fill you in. Loved it.
Well laid out with friendly and helpful volunteers. There is no entrance fee only a request for a coin donation to help with the running costs.
It is always good to learn a bit about the history of Rottnest and the museum is the place to start.
A lot less than I expected. Small and not much on display. Staff were kind and happy to talk you through the museum, which was nice.
We dropped by the Rottnest Musem at the end of a very pleasant day on the Island. While not extensive, the museum did have enough information and displays to give the visitor a chance to get a picture of the diverse history of the Island. The gold coin donation for entry was reasonable. We spent about 10 minutes there but... More

Well worth the visit. I even took my 8 and 4 year old and we talked about the displays there and the history of the island. Its only a gold coin donation. The display are good for a basic museum and it gives a great History lesson. The volenteer guides are very knowledgeable and know most answers to your questions.
Very Interesting really enjoyed looking around and well worth a visit, Rottnest has so much to see and the volunteer guides are very knowledgeable and helpful
This little museum is informative and worth a visit to learn about the history of the island. There are displays of people from the early days and information about the natural habitat. The guides are helpful.
This is a good place to get a quick overview of the history, geology and wildlife of Rottnest. Some of the displays are looking a bit tired but it is still worth a visit.
