It was worth its money even though I read on other reviews it was not worth it. Where they get you is walking out through the gift shop. Bring a tripod and take some good pictures of yourself and your family or friends. more
I would not waste my time or money seeing this attraction. Like some of the others, if you are not aware of what you are looking for, you could miss the blowing rock all together. The park was small and you can get great views off the Blue Ridge. The views are nice here and that is the only reason... more
Not the biggest waste of money in the High Country, but not the best value either. True, similar views can be had in many locations along the Blue Ridge Parkway, but if you've not been, it's worth taking a look. more
Please do not waste your money here! $6 per adult, for what? If you drive the blue ridge parkway you will get this exact same view/experience every few miles, and for free! there is nothing to see here worth your hard earned dollars. the person in the gift shop basically charges you $6 per person to walk out behind their... more
Yeah, not sure why people do not like it. What's not to like? It has history and has a huge deck with the most breathtaking panoramic view of the blue ridge mountains. We have been back twice. I have to admit that I have to scratch my head at the other two reviews here. I can't really figure out why these folks missed the rock - it is large, long and very much in evidence - with adults and children climbing all over it to take photos. The real value at this site are the views of... more
The Blowing Rock was nice but not as large as expected. The formation and little park was not as big as we thought it was gonna be. I am happy I went but that is definately a one time only attraction. more
They should not charge to see this. When you read the brochures or see the web site you really think this is a big rock formation.
