We went in June with our six year old daughter. Our daughter was very fascinated by the 45 degree room and the ball going up hill and the water going up and the swing. We all enjoyed the other displays and puzzles and we especially loved the bubble room where you can encase yourself inside a bubble with the help... more

My husband and I have been visiting Mystery Hill since we were children. We had not been in years and decided to take our two girls. They were thrilled and had such a great time. They did not know what to think of the water running backwards and the ball going up hill. Great for everyone in the family and... more

Not nearly as good as an other "Mystery" attraction I did in California. Doesn't really set up the mystery or capture much nostalgia. The tilting room was simple and obvious. I used the Blue Ridge Go Card and would stay if you have one, stop by when you're at Tweetsie Railroad, its right next door--not sure if you have to... more

I have lived in Boone for four years and never had the desire to go to Mystery Hill, but finally I took my little brother and nieces there, and I was highly disappointed in wasting my money. It seemed like it would be OK at first, but then wow, it just got worse and worse, the crooked house was OK... more

I have been to a couple of 'magnetic hills', where the phenomena can easily be explained as optical illusions, but not the mystery room of mystery hill. I felt the very strong magnetic pull and it made me very dizzy I didn't enter the room fearful it would affect my brain. Your whole body could feel the very powerful force... more

We paid $8/adult for tickets at Mystery Hill, the admission also includes their Native Heritage Museum which is actually in a seperate building, so if the ticket lady hadn't told uis our ticket was for the musuem we wouldn't have known. Anyhow, the Mystery Hill portion was cute. The whole slanted room thing made me laugh for a few minutes,... more

The most mysterious thing about Mystery Hill is that they continue to take people's money! It might be worth going one time so that you can enjoy a good, knowing laugh while reading the reviews. more

I can't believe all the low reviews for this place! Yes, I agree it's more for kids than adults. Yes, I agree the maintenance isn't the best. However, my kids LOVED it! This is classic Americana--the kind of thing many of us grew up doing, and the kind of "corny" thing our kids will remember fondly when they grow up.... more

We've been twice to Mystery Hill. Cannot believe I got rooked into going the second time. Please save your money and go do something else like walk around Bass Lake, go to Boone Bowl, or the movies. The "anti-gravity" room is interesting to the children, I'll admit. But the rest of this place is just a run-down hodgepodge of low... more

My husband and I went on our honeymoon in Blowing Rock. While there, we wanted to check out the local attractions. I had remembered Mystery Hill when I was little and thought it would be fun to go back. I was disappointed as what was once a fond childhood memory became yet another reason why my husband shouldn't trust my... more
