One exciting plus when we moved to Charlotte was to have Carowinds 10 minutes away! We have had a lot of fun there! This place has a ton of rollercoasters. Some of the rides kept needing to undergo "maintenance" while we were there and they were the same rides. The cost of food is a little on the high side for what you get. Overall great experience for me and my family. So much so we bought season passes this year.

The park is in need of some definite remodeling and sprucing up. Bathrooms are outdated and in need of renovations. Poor food selection throughout the park. Lacks diversity of menu options and items offered are pricey for what you receive. Carowinds is spending significant sums of money on new rides and improving the ride experience for visitors but the infrastructure... More

We love Carowinds and try to go at least once a year. They have so many fun rides and if you can go before school lets out or during the week, you can ride a ton more rides without waiting in lines.

I'm probably overly nostalgic. Carowinds is just fun. Great rides and all the rest.
