I've looked at petroglyphs in Northern Georgia and NC, including Judaculla Rock and there seems to be enough similarities to suggest the same group of people may have done them. Having said that, there are only so many ways to depict a water dog, turtle, or spear. After taking an astronomy class, I was struck at the possibilities of some... more

I visited Judaculla Rock last summer with an archaeology group from WCU. We went at night and brought a grill in which to start a fire (we had heard that firelight revealed more pictures on the Rock).
