My wife and I saw a sign on I-77 for Shelton Vineyards and decided to stop in on our trip to Virginia. I had no idea something like this existed in the South. It is a Southern piece of heaven. Well-manicured grounds with a paved walking trail, picture-perfect vineyards, a state-of-the art winery and wonderful restaurant all in one place.... more
We were staying at the New Hampton Inn & Suites in Dobson and found out that the Shelton Vineyards were two miles down the road. The hotel offers bikes you can take to the Vineyards but we drove. The Shelton Vineryards are simply Beautiful...about 400 acres with ponds, flowers and walkways. We took the tour...$5...and did the wine tasting. Nice... more
