I went to Dry Falls, Highlands, NC in September 2007 before it closed down to be renovated. I believe the Forest Service is making a bigger parking lot. There is a short walk down to the falls. I was trying to be careful of where I was walking because of the uneven terrain and the small rocks in the path.... more

An awesome display of nature. You can walk behind the falls and see the water fall from the back very much like when you go to Niagara Falls. A must to see if you are in Highlands, North Carolina. more
