I had never been rafting before and was definitely a little nervous. We hit rapids that were class 1-3. You'll definitely get wet, but none of us fell in (except on purpose!). Our guide was great... confident, funny, easy-going, and a little mischievous. Had a great time. I'll be back if I'm in the area again! more

The water level of the river is very low right now (July 08) and so our trip was very rocky and slow down the river. The scenery was good and the rapids were not scary which would be good for younger children. Our day of rafting was big fun for our family. The guides were well-trained and a lot of fun. There were stops at "jump rock" and a chance to slide out of the boat to float for a section of the calm water. Even the bus ride to and from the river was interesting and entertaining. What a great activity! The guides were great and funny too. There was not as much excitement on the rapids but that was okay for a first time. I can't wait to go again and if you are near or in Asheville go rafting with French Broad, you will enjoy it. more
