Staff was very helpful, and well informed. Gave us clear directions to "Mayberry" sites, as well as other attractions in the area.

I would not miss this as to find anything you really need to drop by the Visitor Center. They are very helpful and have good maps.Be prepared for a long speil as the ladies DO love Mt. Airy and DO speak "southern" which is a lot slower than north. Enjoy the leisurely pace of Mt. Airy. It is great.

The person working the day we were there was very friendly and helpful...went over a map of the area and gave us a great overview of what there was to see and do in the area. Definitely a good first place to stop when visiting Mount Airy.

We found this place helpful in seeing other things to do in the North Carolina area. If this is the main street visitor's center, they were well stocked with pamphlets of things to do in the area as well as free sweet tea.

If you're a fan of the Andy Griffith show. Its all here. The residents don't call it Mayberry, but we're nice to you when you do :-) Come to Floyds and the Snappy Lunch. See the old jail and other landmarks. Take a squad car tour.

Visitors Center should consider that not all travelers to their town are there because of Andy Griffith and Mayberry. We just like exploring and visiting small towns. But they were very helpful.

We found the Visitor's Center full of all kinds of information, lots of brochures, and maps of the town of Mt. Airy that turned out to be very helpful. The gentleman who was working when we went inside was very friendly and informative.
