I have never done the regular tour, but took the Christmas one. It was very nice. Beautiful period decorations and costumes. Very interesting, and a great outing for the family.

Took a quick tour, and really enjoyed the tour guide who stayed in character the whole time and was very informative. The grounds are beautiful and the building is well preserved.
Before the tour I thought Tryon was the original building. The ladies who spearheaded the re-building of this wonderful historic building just proves the power of strong women with a mission. I think I was just as impressed with the re-building as the site itself.

We are new to the South and we learned a lot from the tour guide. The gardens were beautiful!
Tryon Palace is a must see. Several exhibits are included in the price of the Palace tickets which are sold inside the History Center. Try to see Pepsi Family Center and the Duffy Exhibit Gallery exhibits early in the day and then go on to the Palace and other historic homes but remember to see them all in one day...

Tryon Palace is not as old as looks like but an excellent way to present history. Our tourguide was very knowledgeable. The surrounding gardens are a must see specially the kitchen garden. Together with the three houses in the vicinity well spent money. We enjoyed it very much.
