The Island Creek Forest Walk trail is officially listed as a 1/2 mile trail. However, there are actually 4 loop trails plus a couple of interconnecting trails tying them all together. This is a series of short loop walks through a section of the national forest. The trails are well-marked and meander through a section of woods bordered by a stream. The path is easy with only slight ups and downs. You might need boots in damp weather; otherwise, regular shoes are ok. The trailhead is on CR 1004 about halfway... more
