the store had so fun junky gifts but the exhibit was a waste of money and time... LITERALLY there was playmobile toy set of a pirate ship in the exhibit and a tiny 2 person bench in front of a tv to watch a poorly made movie about blackbeard. REALLY???!!!! Something so interesting was made a joke by this place.

Theirs alot of interesting items in their and you also learn alot about black beard

My son loved it! It was hard to find, but anything worth finding usually is.

Had lots of fun learning about Blackbeard and getting there is half the fun!!

Spend your travel dollars elsewhere; I was sorely disappointed in the quality and quantity of the exhibits.

My husband and I are both graduates from ECU, and with the pirate as our mascot we walked out to Teach's Hole to see what we could purchase that was pirate themed. It is a very small exhibit, but had a lot of good information and neat things to look at. It took about 15 minutes for us to go through it, reading all of the information plaques and looking at everything. It was only $4, and it was entertaining, so I'd recommend it.

Boring, complete waste of money for this closet sized "museum". We felt so ripped off, we considered complaining about how misleading their ads were. When my husband suggested we take the kids there (we have 9 year old and 12 year old daughters), I thought, ick. But it was fun. They both like pirates and there are cool things on women pirates there. Great t-shirts and posters on female pirates. And the Blackbeard exhibit was pretty interesting! And it was cheap.
