For a relaxing evening outing on our Ocracoke mini-moon, we opted for a sunset cruise on a schooner with character. Captain Rob is full of stories, quick wit and ready to answer any questions of his maximum 6 guests. The capacity limits ensure a fun ride and chance to get to know fellow passengers along with the captain, or just... More

Exchanged a couple of emails with captain rob. They purchased a new schooner earlier this year and its only a 6 passenger boat. My kids are really disappointed, but ahh life goes on. You can still charter the Windfall for a 1 hour pirate cruise - up to 6 people $150/ hour Still gets 5 stars from me as 1)... More

The Windfall is a blast. I've been on it several times starting at age 7. They have pirate tales, songs, and a buried treasure! It really is good family fun. The children get to raise the sails and everyone gets a chance to steer ! I still have cherished photos of my and my mother and father on the windfall... More

We've gone on the windfall the last two years and would highly recommend. The sunset cruise is beautiful and Captain Rob has great stories to tell.

My husband and I rode the Schooner Windfall while in Ocracoke on vacation for a week. We did the sunset tour ($25/person for 1 hr 15 min. cruise). This was the first time either of us had been on a sailboat and it was a great experience. The Captain is an Ocracoke native and very nice. You head out of... More

We went on this cruise during our trip to Ocracoke. It was fantastic!! It was a relatively inexpensive activity to do on the island. Captain Rob was an excellent host. We were even lucky enough to have dolphins come up and jump out of the water near the boat. My daughter could help out in raising the sails, and do... More

We went out on the sunset cruise onboard the 2 masted schnooner "Windfall" while vacationing on Ocracoke Island, NC. What a great evening! The "Windfall" sails for 1 hr 15 minutes around Ocracoke Inlet, leaving at 7:15 PM. The most beautiful sunset! We watched as the light came on in the Ocracoke Lighthouse just before dark. If you have kids,... More
