If you want to be alone on a beach, just take a walk. My favorite type of beach, empty. Ok, so we were there in April.

Very clean beach, lots of space so you are not crowded. Clean restroom/changing facilities.

Its a pretty nice place but sometimes over crowded, and the waves are really dangerous sometimes

Nice place for the family a little crowded in the summer, but a good place to go especially if you can't drive your vehicle on the beach.

I have no idea what this place is like during season, but it's amazing during the off-season. It's gorgeous and there were only a few other people around. One of my favorite beaches in the world, hands down!

You definitely want to go here! Take the ferry from Cape Hatteras over to Ocracoke Island. It's completely gorgeous! It's non-commercialized and it doesn't have cell phone reception so it's calm and relaxing. There are plenty of good restaurants. We stayed at the Blackbeard hotel; supposedly where Blackbeard the pirate stayed and even haunts. We also went to Teach's Hole... More

Where else can you be on a beautiful beach and no one else is there as far as the eye can see?

Visited the beach during the Irene evacuation. Clean beach with parking and area to wash off. Would be nice if someone would fix the washing station outside the bathrooms as we couldn't get it to shut off (seems to waste water). Couples and families at the beach.

Wow. If you get to swim in the ocean just once or twice a year like we do, choose Ocracoke. The beach has lifeguards. The beach is not too crowded. The dunes go for miles without houses or hotels. You take a short drive or bike ride from Ocracoke. In fact, there is a totally separate bike lane that many... More
