Oriental is a great place to visit and the Oriental Inn and Marina is a knockout place to stay and eat. Make sure you ask for Unit #36! It is the best one with a view.

I have often wanted to learn how to sail. After searching online I found the Oriental School of Sailing located in the small coastal town of Oriental NC. Based on my limited experience, Captain Chris suggested I take the Basic Keelboat Course. I got on the schedule the next week.

My husband and I have sailed Hobie Cats for years but not keelboats, and decided to learn. We just completed the USSA Basic Keelboat Training with Oriental School of Sailing and I highly recommend the course.
