We first visited the Barossa in December 2009 and enjoyed a visit to Langmeil Winery. We had the opportunity to revisit the Barossa this month and Langmeil Winery was on the top of our list of cellar doors to visit. After taking home some reds from our first visit, which aged beautifully in our wine cupboard, we headed back to... More

This place has a great range of true Barossa reds, made with passion and care. They are great examples of everything that is good about wine from this region. Rich, flavoursome and satisfying. There's a red for every budget, too.

Helpful and knowledgeable staff that explain each wine that you taste in great detail. Very picturesque and historic buildings that house the winery and tastings rooms.

We came here via a small tour (6 people). We picked up our favorite wine of the tour here. If you love Shiraz (and I do!), this is worth a stop. I cannot recall the name of the woman who was running the cellar door when we stopped in, but she was great.

The stories behind the families behind Langmeil make it so special - not a place to get in and out of in a short time - expect to be propping up the old red gum counter for an hour at least

We've reecently returned from a trip to Adelaide and day in the Barossa. Langmeil was a great choice and makes an excellent early stop if you can catch the tour. We learned a lot about the fruit and the winemaking process that made visiting the other wineries in the region more interesting. Plus, it guaranteed there was plenty of room... More

We visited this winery as part of a wine tour and were blown away with the delicious lunch provided and friendly, helpful wine tasting.

Have visited a few times over the years and the wines never fail to disappoint. The winery is old and full of character and the staff are always friendly. It isn't far from Tanunda either so a great place to do some tasting if you're staying nearby and don't want to worry about driving.

Langmeil is a beautifull old winery that makes some special wines including The Freedom Shiraz from the oldest vines in the world. The staff are a friendly bunch and willing to spend some time with you. They have some amazing wines to try. Just try to time it so you are not there when tour buses arrive as it gets... More
