There was some cloud cover on the night so didn't see all we would of liked.
It isn't the fault of the Observatory, but obviously the success of the display is dependent upon having no cloud cover. On the night in question there was thick overhanging cloud and not a single star to be seen. We have asked for "gift vouchers" to enable us to return on another occasion. But this is obviously a little inconvenient
When you are almost there it is guaranteed you be be amazed at the beautiful bush and it's thick vegetation. You will also get the feeling of being in the middle of absolutely nowhere, but it is only minutes from the Perth northern suburbs. The cafe is cute and serves nice hot/cold meals at a good price. it is worth the drive out to the Observatory. Lots of accommodation in the area to stay if you do not wish to drive home after the viewing. Magical experience getting up close to the planets, definitely worth the money .
