Vegetable gardens growing, a huge pond with Koi and sometimes baby frogs jumping all over. Trails to walk through and let your children run around and just enjoy.
Very nice example of nature, not usually found in this area.
the staff helped us with all our lawn problems and offered good advise for using native plants
NH Coounty Arboretum is one of my favorite places to stop and meditate. It is peaceful, beautiful, even in the winter when it is dormant. I never tire of going there.
Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. The gardens are small, but they're very nicely done and free, so you can't complain at that! Interesting even to the non-gardener and I particularly liked that you could feed the Koi carp, which are huge!
They have beautiful gardens and lots of ideas. Everything looks like you would love to at home if you had the time.
These folks are great-they will analyze soil, diagnose insects, all for free and eager to assist the homeowner. The gardens are also very well done and a must see.
wonderful way to spend an afternoon learning about what grows in the wilmington area.
The Arboretum is one of my favorite places to go and just relax. Sit on a bench, stroll through the Japanese gardens, admire the scuptures and the amazing rose garden, or talk to one of the volunteer gardeners. The atmosphere is tranquil and the gardens are beautiful any time of year. I always bring out-of-town friends and family to visit...
