Had the time to go to see this and glad we did. Really excellent displays and done on a time line from the days of Dinosaurs to late 1800's. Children visiting seemed to really enjoy it. Lots of information and exhibits. Free too!

This place is filled with so much local history! It is an amazing place to visit and it is free, so it's a great value as well! Cannot wait to visit the addition to this amazing place!
The museum portion is facinating and interesting. But was very disappointed to find things in the gift shop that were "Made in China"...would like to have found more North Dakota made products. The selection of ND products was nice, but could have been more.
In Bismarck for business and had a couple of hours free in the afternoon so visited the Center. Well laid out, interesting displays. Learnt a lot. And free.
Took my whole family there when they came to visit and we all had a great time! Even my young children enjoyed going and it was free!
Is a well put-together and nice place to visit. There are wild life exhibits to prehistoric fossils to histories of the Native peoples.
The complete package, and the price is right! Exhibits on everything from fossils to North Dakota history.
Best feature when going to capital, at least I think so. Not very far from capital, a very short walk. I took the kids there and spent a good half a day. Parking can be tough. Just have search for a spot. At the most a half a block
I really enjoyed my visit to the ND Heritage Center. The exhibits about ND history are arranged chronologically and start with dinosaurs. They have great artifacts and the labels are interesting to read. The museum staff is very knowledgeable and will gladly answer any questions. The gift shop has a nice selection of gifts from around the state and prices...

We used to visit the center when we lived in Bismarck, now 20 years later brought the grown up kids back- very interesting and can't wait to see what it will be like when it is done with renovations.
