Very family-friendly. Lots of things to do. You could spend a whole day in there. We were there in September of 2009. My 3-year-old girl loved the water play. There are also a variety of children's rides. We stayed in a resort which is just a few minutes away from it. So we actually paid 2 visits during our one-week... more

Visited Shining Waters (on site of former Rainbow Valley). Cost was $57 for 1 adult and 2 kids (48" +). I believe it's $66 for a family of 4. The non water slide parts of the park would appeal to the 3-6 crowd only. 'Roller Coaster' is ridiculously jerky and I would not recommend putting your child on this. Other... more

We went to Shining Waters in 2008. Normally I am not into "amusement parks" but it was really hot and our seven year old son really wanted to go. We were all very pleasantly surprised with the quality of the park. It is very well done, super clean and I really loved that each attraction was really well thought out... more

We took our annual trip to PEI last summer and decided to check out the new theme park that opened after Rainbow Valley closed. Brian and I both grew up going to Rainbow Valley every summer as did our own kids so I was skeptical at first but WOW was I surprised. The new park is cleaner, newer and better... more
