My husband and I stayed nearby (one driveway over) at the Agnes Horth (incredible!) When we were there- 12-16 inches of powder fell- it was absolutely breathtaking! 32 degrees (F) and we broke a new trail (b/c tracks hidden under the new snow). icy conditions and all the crampons were booked, so just walked in boots with ski poles for stability - beautiful location!

Sutton is best known as a ski destination but this place is a little gem. About 30km of x-country trails and 15km of snowshoeing trails all in a beautiful old growth maple forest. The place is managed by a co-op; prices are reasonable and they have good quality equipment hire. Phone first to check if they are open.
