Beautiful location for a walk. Mountain and lake views, extremely well designed walkway beside the lake.

One of the few level surfaces to walk on in the village. Just down from the plaza, this makes for a easy 30 to 60 minute stroll. Busy on Sundays with lots of locals. The malecon provides one of the only places in Ajijic that you can walk not on cobblestones, so it is great for a couple early morning exercise laps. Lovely cement walkway along the lake. Perfect in the right weather. No traffic of course and a smooth safe path. Great view of the massive lake.

It's quiet, restful, peaceful and the sunset that particular evening was spectacular. I went with friends to join a group of "drummers" who gather once a month to play different styles and shapes of drums and other percussion instruments. This is a treasure town, the real Mexico. Full of amazing people, lots of Americans and Uropeans come to retire to this town because of it's magic. If you visit Guadalajara you have to drive to Ajjijic.
