We skied and stayed at Solitude ski resort in late March 2007, in the Powderhorn condominiums. We've visited several different ski resorts in the northeast US as well as the west. Nothing compares to Solitude, not even close. Ski conditions: High in the Wasatch Range, better snow than Park City area due to elevation and location. Back bowl and off piste skiing (in bounds) in Honeycomb Canyon -- easily accessible and phenomenally beautiful. Lots of possibilities... more

We took our first family ski vacation to Solitude in Jan. 09. It was fantastic! My boys (age 12) agreed this was one of our best vacations ever. We were able to be together as a family…but at the same time, because it is a smaller resort and was not crowded….you could also give the kids a little bit more... more

My family and I found Solitude to be a great place for a family ski trip-especially with kids. We went with my entire side of the family-from beginner skiers, to expert snowboarder, to non-skiers (snowshoed & Nordic instead) and 2 kids under the age of 4. Skied here today. The trails are well groomed, staff friendly, facilities were nice. I stayed on the lower trails to remain with kids (so I cant comment on upper trails, blues on up). Solitude offered wide open trails with very tolerable wait times. Although we enjoyed our time at the resort, we have a few hesitations before recommending outright. 1.... more

We stayed at the Inn at the Solitude Mountain Resort and honestly it was truly an incredible place to spend a few days! We went for a wedding taking place there and could not imagine a better place for a wedding. The staff were absolutely incredible. The scenery breathtaking and so romantic..... A quick weekend trip with the family to ski some powder at Solitude turned out to be one of the best resorts we've been to.
