My first thoughts of this zoo are, don't bother if you can visit Chester or even Twycross instead. This attraction is massivley overpriced and in need of some TLC. This zoo has the feel of a wild-life preserve more than a formal zoo with concrete enclosures. Visitors walk through a number of paths that border animal enclosures through the park. A wonderful experience. Saw this overnight trip reviewed in the Telegraph and booked straight away. As weather forcast was fair for arrival day decided to look round the Zoo before our official stay, entry included in price. There are so many animals to see and in such great surroundings it is a paradise for children. Lots of places to picnic or eat in restaurants.

Only recently introduced but these Overnight stays at Zoo just AMAZING - recommend to anyone. They have different evenings for families or couples, the staff are really helpful, fun and informative and the whole event is worth every penny. the animals have so much freedom ,lovely day out ,plenty to do for the kids.

Been here many times as a child and now with my own children. Amount of animals is fantastic, seen baby elephants awww and lions really close up. Had a great time, despite the weather. Keepers are very passionate about the park and its animals, they are doing some great conservation projects. Lodge was compact but nice and clean with tea/coffee facilities. Food was lovely. Woke up early and went outside in the morning to be greeted by Mara's,bunnies and wallabys, and a fabulous view across the downs.... More
