Considering this collection of old vehicles is privately owned they are all in remarkably good condition. The staff were very friendly and on the day I visited I could wander around without anyone hassling me. visitors can wander around the exhibits and its a bit of a trip down memory lane to see cars just like granddad owned. It was... More

Visited the Stondon Museum over the Easter holiday. First impression was that it might be a bit ramshackle but on entering we were faced with row after row of vintage cars, motorcycles and public transport vehicles which had obvously been lovingly restored and looked after. Although I'm not a vintage car fan as such I found it very interesting and... More

This is not a collection of immaculately restored vehicles, but of old vehicles, many of which may have been saved from an uncertain future. It includes some very unusual vehicles that won't be seen elsewhere. Utterly unique, and a gem in this part... More

Stondon Transport Museum has the potential to be so much more. Whilst the collection of motor vehicles is vast and impressive, the site is a shambles, with far too much crammed in to the available space. If Claude Jeremiah Greengrass (of Heartbeat fame) were to run a museum - this is how he's do it. The catering facilities are absolutely... More

How unexpected from the access from the road with easy parking you have a number of hangers with a collection that would have an interest for a wide range of individuals. Vintage, historic and relatively modern vehicles capture interest together with military and emergency vehicles and motorcycles. All well displayed with very friendly staff. My friend described this as a... More
