It took me about an hour to look around this pleasant local history museum. It is well laid out over two floors and the garden is neatly presented with plants and herbs. Small museum with limited opening hours. We found it a very interesting way to spend an hour or so. Enthusiastic staff who were keen to explain the history of the area. Well worth a visit if you are staying in Old Amersham

They cram an awful lot into it. Children can take things out of drawers and handle them which makes it more interesting.
