Many great exhibits. Australian area is wonderful. Wombats roaming free and come right up to you. Aquarium on the top of the hill is not worth the walk up the switchback. We went one time during a freezing snowstorm. The employees brought out a small van and drove us around the zoo, often times stopping to give us a more personal tour. My kids will never forget it and watching them feed the polar bears.

Enjoyed taking my Granddaughter here for her first zoo visit. I suggest going early in the day but not at opening a lot of the animals weren't out yet and a lot of the food places or drink places weren't open.

You can get up close - but not bother the animals. The rain-forest is great year-round. Really beautiful and it is always busy! It is worth the trip no matter what time of year!
