I've never been to such a gothic looking cemetery before and never to a cemetery this big. The monuments and graves are spectacular in appearance and the landscape is beautiful, especially during Autumn. We took the Healthline bus from downtown to view the Wade Chapel. No one is interred in the chapel; in fact, it is used for weddings. The chapel is one of the most memorable things I have ever seen. We took our Girl Scout Troop here for Arbor Day last year and even though it rained. The girls enjoyed it the design and history is wonderful here. more

My husband and I took a walking tour of the cemetery focused on the architectural features. My husband thought it would be "seriously creepy," but ended up really enjoying the variety of tombs, the President's tomb, the Wade Chapel and finding all the historical people there.
