Directly across the street from the house is the official A Christmas Story House Museum, which features original props, costumes and memorabilia from the film, as well as hundreds of rare behind-the-scenes photos. Among the props and costumes are the toys from the Higbee’s window, Randy’s snowsuit and zeppelin, the chalkboard from Miss Shields’ classroom and the family car. After reliving A Christmas Story at Ralphie’s house don’t forget to visit the museum gift shop for your own Major Award Leg Lamp and other great movie memorabilia. « less

I went 2 weeks before Christmas last year and the actor who played "Randy" was visiting and signing autographs. If you like the movie at all or enjoy Cleveland history, this is a must see. I loved seeing all the memoribilia from the movie. If you don't know the neighborhood, I would suggest parking down the street in front of... More

The woman who told the story was GREAT! (Kim), but the gift shop was fair.

After watching this movie with my family for many years, I stumbled upon this attraction on Wikipedia about two years ago, and I promised that I would someday get to go visit. I finally had the opportunity, and I went even though I was alone. The location is in a neighborhood that looks like it has seen better days, the... More

My wife and I recently visited Cleveland and toured the 'A Christmas Story' house. It was a fun little addition to our trip. The attraction was 'as advertised'. The house was used for outdoor filming (indoor scenes were filmed on a sound stage) and the owner has done a great job remaking the interior of the property to mimic the... More

Right out of the movie "Christmas Story", the house, located in the gentrified Tremont area just south of downtown Cleveland will conjure up all your memories of this iconic flick. Including the infamous leg lamp ( which can be purchased at the nearby gift shop along with the Cleveland Monopoly boardgame. The visit is fun; parking is a major deterrent.... More

Our family is a huge fan of the movie and have a tradition of watching it every Christmas Eve. I saw a write up in our local paper about this attraction and then checked out reviews on this site. We decided to visit on a road trip we took in August and enjoyed it very much. The house is in... More

I am a big fan of the movie A Christmas Story. My husband and I visited last week and there was no crowd (of course it is April). The tour guide was awsome and explained how the house was selected for the movie and which scenes were filmed there. The inside of the house will make you feel like Ralphie... More

We had so much fun taking pictures in all the rooms. Learned a lot about the filming of the movie, however would have liked a have a bit longer to explore that they allow. Worth going too if you are a true fan. I would go back
