I love a good book store, and this is one of the coolest I've been to. Not only is the selection good, but it has so much character. Located in a house in the German Village part of the city, the sections are crammed all over the place in narrow aisles and random little alcoves. I will always stop here... More

I would rank this bookstore a must see for anyone and everyone who travels to Columbus. This is one of the most unique new and used bookstores I have ever been to, with over thirty-two rooms and two stories of books of every subject and genre. Each room has its own unique subject and speakers play music to match each... More

Great place to buy a book. Located in German Village. Parking is sparse, but available.

Book lovers of the world--this is your place! This is what a bookstore should be--crammed with books, books in nooks and crannies, books every place you look. Yes, many of the rooms are very small. I found library stools in many of the rooms, for a place to sit. Each room has different music playing, with a copy of the... More

Got to be one of the most unusual bookstores anywhere. I can never resist dropping in when I am in the area. Pay attention or you'll get lost inside; you'll know what I mean if you visit.

This huge book store has a wide variety of books and a very interesting vibe. I found it to be very claustrophobic and had trouble navigating if there were more than two other people in each room with me. It's an interesting stop where you could spend quite a bit of time. You can't go looking for a specific book,... More

I could wander The Book Loft for hours. It's fun to get lost in this huge store that is as wide as a city block. The staff is friendly and helpful. This isn't a normal bookstore, it has character and a sense of humor, as shown by the books on display.

I love this store, BECAUSE it isn't Barnes and Noble or Borders. Yes, it can be cramped, but that isn't the point. If it's a cookie cutter store experience you are looking for, please shop at the big box stores in your suburb. The Book Loft is an experience I welcome, and it's great to see these types of stores... More

I went one time, I had to leave due to the dust- mold smell and crowded isles. Not my kind of place.

Such a beautiful garden and walkway into the shop. I took my 5 yr old and we had such a fun time exploring. She really loved it and I think it will be something she'll remember forever. Unique experience and great place to kill a rainy afternoon. Bonus: great sale room.
