This weekend we went to the Columbus Museum of Art with our guests who were visiting from out of town. The new exhibit - The Radical Camera - was outstanding. It is the most compelling exhibit of photography that I have ever seen at any museum anywhere. We also had the pleasure of seeing the new Marvelous Menagerie exhibit, which... More

The "George Tooker" exhibit in 2010 was my introduction to this fine museum! Since then, time after time I keep finding new and enticing works of art to keep my visual palate satisfied! Great location, great staff, beautiful venue.........on and on! I'm the new "kid" in town, but I am so proud to have this "gem" to visit in my... More

This museum really surprised and enchanted me, especially the Centre for Creativity and the Wonder Room. It is a really wonderful place for children to learn about art. There are some fine paintings here too - Picasso and his contemporaries and some Impressionist paintings for example - and in each room they have something interesting and fun for kids to... More

A Thursday evening visit led me to discover the art in bloom floral interpretations beside the master works of art. Inside are a delightful display of drawings by Klimt, Soutine's creative impressionism, Chihuly's glass and Rodin scupltures with so many more pieces among this diverse collection that just seems to work together creating an inviting experience that leaves you smiling... I took my grandchildren to the Columbus Museum of Art on a Sunday afternoon. Sundays are free and they have many activities for children on that day. My grandkids contributed their own art, built towers, molded clay figurines, etc. and we viewed the marvelous works of art. They also have an outside sculpture garden. They had an urban strings concert... More

The museum has some excellent paintings, fun hands on activities, and helpful staff. With the museum was bigger. Went there on a 2nd date and we were through in less than an hour.

I was surprised at the limited amount of art that CMOA had to offer. I wish there was more to see. We were able to complete a complentative tour in about an hour.

Though small, the art museum is well laid out and features some beautiful art by hometown boy, John Bellows. Also on permanent display is a good Norman Rockwell and a sample here and there of others (that I'm drawing a blank on right now). A tribute to Carravagghio just ended and a couple of years ago it featured "Monet's Women,"... More

Nice museum, a small good collection that was donated some 20 years ago, and some other interesting works.
