This has, sadly, been left to ruin. Trash in the water surrounding it, no one to do a tour during the day we were there, ship needs repair and painting. Truly an eyesore.
I wouldn't travel any distance to see this, but if you're in town and are interested in the history of Columbus' namesake then by all means check this out. The staff were very informative and friendly. You will be surprised at how small the Santa Maria actually was. Hard to imagine crossing an ocean in so small a vessel and...
