Wanted to see an environment with animals in their natural habitat or at least kept in a similar manner. What we saw was horrifying - at least for people who are not used to elephant capture & their integration into the human world. The huge mighty beasts who roamed free but now are now caught all because humans & agriculture... More

Its a good experience to be at Dubare Elephant Camp. Bathing and feeding elephants is really awesome experience. You will be able to bathe more than 5 elephants. They keep coming. There are a few baby elephants as well. We didnt stay at Dubare, but traveled from Madikeri. It takes almost 1 hr from Madikeri. Please be inside the park... More

first of all this elephant park is away from the main road, where only one vehicle can pass at a time. jungle lodges can do a lot to improve the condition of the main access road from the main road, instead of charging heavy room rentals on the cottages. tourist think that it is a great experience to watch elephants... Pro 1. Kids loved it 2. Close access to the elephants, and multiple options. 3. Awesome water. On our way back from the camp, we couldnt catch the raft, so made our way back through the water. It was refreshing Cons 1. The access road to this camp is terrible. On our way out, we saw a big tourist bus... More

I took my children ages 7 and 10 to the Elephant experience. Originally I had signed up to stay over night but some trip advisor reviews scared me away. I have to say I toured the facilities while there and they looked lovely. I regret not staying the night. Instead, we took the Elephant experience package. I found the website... More

There are lots of activities to do but I suggest you ask for a walking safari - not just the morning nature walk, which is a GREAT introduction, but ask a guide to take you 8 or so kilometres. You will feel at once with the forest.

The title justifies the place... Dubare a elephant camp is so lively and happening that I loved the every experience I had there. Even though I missed bathing and feeding the elephants as I was late to reach ,still it was worth going. River rafting even though smooth water was great fun, specially the person guiding us was a very... More

Dubare elephant camp is closed on Tuesdays. You can reach here following a map and park your vehicle on the riverside. Ignore the touts who pester you for rafting and boating. There is no specific counter to get the tokens to cross the river, so just ask any of the boats that arrive for tickets to cross. A five minute... More

Nice, clean cabins in a peaceful environment. Food was good and the cooks adjusted it according to our wishes. We were the only two families staying at the resort so we had lots of space and were taken care of very well. The package included a lot of activities: jeep safari, nature film, campfire, early-morning nature walk, coracle ride and... More
