My visit to the cathedral was sublime once I was inside. Before that, it was a long line and when getting near the entrance, people got inpatient and started pushing since there wasn’t a controlled line. I had purchased some religious items to be blessed. Architecture is magnificent, our lady of miracles. Around the church you will observe on the stairs and on the road a red carpet where people on their knees go to the church as a sign of faith. Architecture is gorgeous, historic old icons, wonderful souvenirs around it in the Tinos town.

Absolutely a must, but the queue to get in is just rediculous - must have taken us an hour+ to get to the main chamber.

Everybody in Greece went to "Panagia tis Tinou" at least once. This was the 2nd time for me, the 1st was with my mother, I was very little, she had a "tama" (offering). The image of the Virgin is covered by jewellery that the believers let throught the years. The image was found at that place around 1823. It's better to visit when it's not crowded, that means around 5 o'clock in the afternoon.
