It was brilliant and interesting. Found the name funny as there were signposts saying exactly where it was - not so secret bunker may be more apt?

I love this place, I've been 3 times now. Its just so fascinating and creepy! Its very well put together and the tour (audio) is very comprehensive. I guess it helps if you like Military History but both my wife and my in-laws also really enjoyed the experience. Compared to a lot of other museums (Cabinet War Rooms) its much...

Have been here previously i think there used to be guided tours, went today wasnt bad ok the dummys are falling to bits and are comical, they could have more staff to show u how to use the wands and the videos they show are pre war on 1970's tv sets, but its quite an informative visit and worth it...

Have been looking forward to visiting this attraction for a long time but was very disappointing
The first impression is, as another reviewer described, shambolic.
The toilet block was beyond disgusting, dirty floors, no paper (well not on the roll anyway!), very limited light, dubious brown smears on the outside of cubicle doors - overall not a very good impression....

Visited a couple of years ago, and want to comment on some of these negative reviews. Yes, it is not a state of the art, interactive, digitised, blandified and brandified experience. The 'irrelevant stuff' lying around is representative of technology in the Cold War era. Surprise surprise it looks old hat. Finding the reminders about CCTV intimidating? Do you know...

Visited here on a last minute idea, like a lot of places on your doorstep, never get round to visiting.
We enjoyed a very informative visit here, you have these handheld pre recorded thingys that you can listen to as you go round the bunker, this means you can listen at your own pace and I felt I took a...

The actual bunker is quite interesting.
The way it is run is totally shambolic, however. There are amateurish signs up everywhere that threaten you that you are being watched on CCTV which don't make you feel welcome exactly.
So much more could be made of this place as it is could be very interesting. The audio tour was difficult to...

It was good to see this bunker as it would have been during the war. Despite the fact it was never used it gave a very good impression of how it would have been.
A really amateurish operation - shambolic displays, bits of equipment and spare equipment lying about haphazardly, aggressive / threatening notices everywhere, random sound effects obliterate the commentary provided by the 'Wand' handset that each visitor is required to take, awful nauseating smell of frying chips generated from the 'canteen' (my clothes smelled of chip frying following this visit!) - I'm...

i went with my family and friends to the secret nuclear bunker and although i enjoyed it i was a little disappointed. it is an interesting place to visit but i found the information through the strange "wand" thing to be dated. it is a lot bigger than i expected, going over 100ft into the ground and being 3 stories high...
