We had a nice few hours on a lovely sunny day, BUT - were VERY annoyed to note that, DESPITE our asking, we were essentially lied to by the admission staff, saying we had to pay just to see the village street. This is clearly an untruth. I note that the management response to other similar comments is standard -... More

We went with friends to Bucklers Hard and had a look around all the original old buildings and it was amazing to see how time has stopped here. All the buildings are as they were hundreds of years ago. The main street down the centre of the buildings is very wide so that the felled trees could be brought down... More

There come a point when the cost outweighs the enjoyment and Buckler's Hard is probably close to this right now. So my suggesdtion to anyone wanting to visit is to pay the first time and make the most of the museum, which is excellent and worth the £6.50, then use the public car park and footpaths past the bathing house... Picturesque site, but the admission fee is a rip-off!

This is a very interesting place to visit and if you time it right a trip on the river is also well worth doing.

We went here the day before we went to Beaulieu Motor Museum and discovered that you get a voucher for discounted entry when you buy tickets for the motor museum so if your going to both go the the motor museum first! This was a really nice place to visit with and interested history, the museum was interesting telling the... More

We did a walk with friends with a young baby from Buckler's Hard to Beauleu, it was very pram friendly and we enjoyed a fun picnic on the grass. The drink's you buy at the Buckler's Hard Hotel are rather expensive and not good value for money, so take your own!Good day out :)

Pleasant coffee/tea shop with nice surrounding and seating area. Old cotages open and well presented. Lovely little chapel and loads of history. The best thing though is the museum and that was such a surprise, looks small from outside and I thought a 10 minute look round. No, it's packed with information, well presented with excellent models and life like... More
