    A Good Day Out
Grandad, daughter and young grandson visit. An earlier reviewer mentioned queues; go on a damp Monday in March and you virtually have the place to yourself. Exhibits are well presented with sufficient descriptive details without being overly long. The external area of the Top Gear area looks a bit tired but the exhibits inside are good, as is Palace House. The new child’s play area is superb. Overall a very good day out.

    A Good Day Out………..
Very well maintained site with plenty to do and see. Excellent staff who were friendly and knowledgeable. For petrol heads there is the motor museum that was phenomenal with its selection of motor vehicles of all shapes and sizes. All well displayed with information boards. There is a imagined garage office complete with a cat asleep on a chair. History buffs are well catered for with the Abbey and the Domus building and their history. I found the small museum covering the Special Operations Executive that was a clandestine organisation used on enemy territories during World War 2 fascinating. Not a good time of year to see the various gardens at their best but that was expected. I would recommend taking the monorail first to see the grounds from a elevated position so the geography of the area can be learnt.

    Eat your heart out Lime
I thought that it was amazing to see so many iconic cars in one place. It was a thrill. They were well displayed with succinct information plaques. The Rolls Royce was just incredible, as was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Also the motorcycle section was fascinating especially the motor scooters - eat your heart out Lime

    A grand day out
I'm no petrol head but still enjoyed it here. So much to see. Book online to save time and cash. All exhibits were included in the ticket which lasts for 12 months. Restaurant quite reasonable and friendly staff everywhere. We went during the school term, arriving at opening time on a Monday. Nice and quiet.
Thank you for leaving a great review - we are delighted to hear you enjoyed your recent visit to Beaulieu, and we hope to welcome you back again with your Annual Pass.

Don’t miss a visit to Beaulieu Motor Museum and Abbey
Lots to see and do here for all the family, though it was just my husband and I visiting (both in our 60’s) Cars were well_displayed with good info and interesting video clips. Exhibition of cars on screen could have been enhanced with video clips of the actual movies/tv in which they featured but I guess there are licensing issues with doing that. The monorail was a great thing to do at the start (as recommended by our ticket checker). Best of all was the Abbey - such an amazing building with good info boards. Loos were clean. Cafe was spacious but food on offer was slightly disappointing in range and didn’t look very appetising so I opted for a plain croissant, which tasted like it was yesterday’s. So I’ve marked the attraction as a whole at 4 rather than 5.

    A great day out.
If you like cars you will love Beaulieu. An excellent and varied selection all in beautiful condition and many of them drive and can be seen on parade. Palace house is fascinating too, and there are many other exhibits around the grounds. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and there is plenty to see. There is also a large play area for the kids.

    Brilliant family day out
Brilliant family day out, including a car show performance in the afternoon. All round fun day not only for motor mad fans but also for history mad ones with the Beaulieu Abbey, church and Palace House. Place to eat was also brilliant as well and the trip round the site in Monorail and the Bus. Marvellous gardens, with added outside games, as well as beautiful nature walk around. No additional, fabulous day out enjoyed by the whole family and will be definitely coming back.
Thank you very much for your great feedback, we are delighted to hear you and your family had an enjoyable visit and that you found lots to see and do. We look forward to welcoming you back to Beaulieu in the near future.

    Something for everyone
So much to do and see despite the weather bring hit and miss. We did get stuck on the monorail for 30 mins whilst it broke down between stations which was a bit chilly! A complementary coffee would have Bern a nice gesture. The mix of classic cars and bikes, the house, gardens was really interesting. The cafe feels very dated now both in looks and menu choices - that's not a complaint but an observation.

    Great rainy day activity
Came here as was a rainy day activity, enjoyed exploring the motor museum- the kids enjoyed the dress up ops, Easter trail & interactive bits. Top gear section was interesting. Mono rail was just doing a loop but nice to go on. Kids loved little Beaulieu- the fantastic playground & also searching for “rabbits” around the house. Bit pricey but can spend a whole day here & the cafe was poor for food selection & service.

    A brilliant day out!
A brilliant day out as the site offers so much more than the exceptional motor museum. We thoroughly enjoyed the house and Abbey, particularly seeing the amazing tapestries created by the mother of the current Lord Montagu, the SOE Exhibition, the colourful gardens and the very pleasant location. It is an added bonus that you can revisit the site within a given time period with free admittance.

Visited on a weekend break with my Mum to Boscombe looking for something new to do for Mother’s Day. The estate was so diverse with historic buildings like the Palace and ruins at the Abbey along with the surrounding estate. The Motor Museum is great with the full history of the car along with some great cars exhibits. Lives the Bus tour and Mini rail too. Can’t believe we’ve never been before. Highly recommended 🌟

Had an absolutely brilliant day. So much to see and such a variety of interests- cars if course, bikes, history and so much more.
Highlight was the No. 51 bus!

The Beaulieu estate is well worth the visit, book the tickets in advance to save some money on the entrance fee (up to the night before) and get there as early as possible to make the most of the day. We started with the World of Top Gear admiring some of the creations from over the years and then went to the film display. We then took the monorail (now just a loop from the North station) to get aerial views through the museum and of the gardens. We then had an initial visit to the motor museum, admiring the world land speed record cars, the veteran collection and being intrigued by the future visions. After a coffee break on the terrace we walked round the abbey ruins which I had never done before. This was a very good display in the dormitory, a tranquil pause in the cloisters and learning about falconry in the hut. We then visited the church and the rest of the ruins. A nice walk round the gardens to view the topiary Mad Hatter's Tea party and a moving history lesson in the Secret War exhibition telling the story of the SOE at Beaulieu. We then had lunch followed by a veteran bus ride to Palace House. We were greeted by the Edwardian housekeeper and enjoyed exploring the house. Lord Montagu has presented the history of his family's connection with the monarchy downstairs and told some wonderful family stories upstairs. The clothes and embroidery produced by Belinda. Lady Montague are wonderful and there are some fascinating stories about Pearl and her step-daughter as well as an interesting building. We finished our day with a return to the motor museum.
Currently the best way to get there is by car but in the summer, buses run to the museum.

My partner and I really enjoyed our visit to Beaulieu. The house, Abbey and gardens were beautiful to wander around. We enjoyed a ride on the monorail and open topped bus. There were so many cars and motorbikes to see we were glad to be able to come back the following day and were also able to view the beautiful Russian art exhibition. The informative and humorous information boards were appreciated. We might even be the lucky winners of a MGB car!

I genuinely had a lot of fun! Despite living in the area for the best part of 30 years, this was my first visit and it didn't disappoint! Lots of photos were taken, I feel bad for my poor phone. It's a experience I don't think I'll ever forget!

More details and family-friendly reviews on my blog 'The Frenchie Mummy' and on Instagram @thefrenchiemummy. So Google it and have a look there too. Merci!

We absolutely love this place. We visited it for the first time two years ago and it's fun a family day out to have!

My son particularly loved the monorail and the Top Gear experience. The gardens are fabulous in the spring. It's quite big and the play area called Little Beaulieu is really big, so worth a full day out!

Worth a visit if you are in the New Forest and the kids love cars!

Our third visit to the Motor Museum (and Manor House next door) and it's as good as ever. So many different vehicles to see, even my husband who isn't into cars finds it interesting. The Top Gear exhibit is always good, having watched the show for years (up until the dreadful relaunch a few years ago anyway). A real value for money day out with the ticket covering the Manor House, the new art gallery, the church, etc. Only thing which let this visit down was the restaurant being shut, but I understand renovations need to be done.

Loved this museum. The selection of vehicles is amazing and it would be easy to spend a full day. Especially loved the Bluebird and reading the information on land speed records. We bought a special ticket which gave us a year's membership. Great value.
