I eventually manged to drag my husband to Osborne house and he was delighted he gave in to my plea. To see both the house and gardens you will need about five hours. The rooms are opulent and beautifully kept. The gardens are marvellous together with the Swiss Cottage where the children had there own little gardens to grow vgetables which they sold to Prince Albert! more

Good value as you can spend all day here. The house is wonderful, honest and faithful restoration. English Heritage staff helpful and knowledgeable. on visiting osborne house with my mum in a wheelchair, you could not praise the staff enought. they were very helpful and open side doors to some of the room as the passage ways were to narrow. Also removed rope barriers for us to easily get through. top class visit and only paid one entry and carers goes free. hightly... more

Perfect setting - inside the house the rooms were set out very nicely and some as they were - staff knowledge excellent - if you go anywhere on the Isle of Wight then take the time to go to this gem. more

Osborne house a fascinating place to visit, it is built in the Italianate style and was designed by prince Albert. It is full of interesting objects and you can walk around the elegant grounds There is a well stocked shop. The entrance fee is a bit steep but its worth it. more

This was a really interesting place to see. The rooms are set out really well with a hugh collection of paintings which were part of Queen Victoria's colletion. You could see the bed in which she died and the 'swiss cottage' which was a life sized playhouse built for their children. It also has beautiful landscaped garden with great views... more

The Osborne house is a nice little palace with beautiful gardens and stunning scenery from the gardens. As it is very very close to East Cowes ferry terminal (Just 2 minutes drive from there), it is easily accessible i.e if you are travelling via Southampton-East Cowes. Definetly worth a visit ... more
