A very nice castle and the gardens have plenty of room for little ones to run about and if you're lucky you'll meet the very friendly black and white cat in the castle grounds. We took our grandson at Easter and we all had fun doing the Easter trail.

Loved the castle, get the audio and have a listen, very informative, view gorgeous, gardens beautiful. Tea rooms and cake lovely.

If your into castles and passing then I would suggest paying a visit else if your after a full day out your better off going straight to Dover castle just down the coast. Also check the opening times.

We have visited Walmer Castle several times over many years but this Easter it had a very special quality with an Easter bunny hunt for youngsters which was enjoyable and at the same time not distracting for visitors without children. The interior of the castle has much to offer first and subsequent visitors and the gardens are a splendid feature.

If you want to find out about the Duke of Wellington then this is your place to go.There are loads to see inside the castle and there are great gardens to wander about in after looking at the castle also the beach is just over the road.
