Everything you wanted to know about apples and more. Go in the spring for the superb display of blossom and in the autumn for the fruit.
Very nice cafe/restaurant area. Lovely food locally sourced, well worth a visit!
I expected much more, but didn't get it. What I got was muddy fields, a closed kids train, a not cheap cafe along with some not cheap farm type shops. It is underwhelming for what it could be.
Brogdale went through some dodgy years when it looked as though the National Fruit Collection could be lost; I'm sure the supermarkets would be pleased.
Our visit was on an autumn Sunday and we got what we wanted - lunch at the Courtyard restaurant and expert advice on buying two 'heritage' apple trees as a gift.

This experience is absolutely magnificent! The national collection of fruit is breathtakingly huge. There are hundreds of types of appless and other fruits. Go in the spring and see the apple blossom its unbelieveable!
You must take the guided tour its fascinating and the guide was amazingly knowledgeable.
