Well where to start . . . booked this as a surprise for my husband's 30th birthday and in his words 'was the best present he could have ever had'! The park is massive and as close to Africa as you could get here in the UK! Everything the park does is in the best interests of the animals and... more

We visited Port Lympne and were extremely impressed. The enclosures for the animals are huge and the range of species are impressive. It's a lovely place to visit and it is clear that conservation is top of their list of targets, unlike many other zoos. The safari ride is also excellent which takes you on a journey through free roaming... more

My partner & I come here twice a year & we love it! It is always a proper day out. The animals have large enclosures and are VERY well looked after. I cannot believe the negative comments on here. The Aspinall zoos are geared up highly towards animal welfare & do some of the most important and best in the... more

Cost £52 for a family ticket including a £2 discount that we got from the promo leaflet. Plenty of parking and need to cross over a footbridge to get to the park itself. A hefty charge so had fairly high expectations. The animals are spread over a large area with lots of walking needed - some parts are quite steep.... more

Thank you for your positive comments regarding your visit to Port Lympne As a conservation park our animals are able to live & breed in conditions as near to their natural habitat as possible, they are never locked in or out of their indoor enclosures unfortunately this can mean that they are not always immediately visible however patients or a...

I read the reviews and was worried about the hills but once we got there they wasnt to bad, my sons aged 6 and 9 were fine and my husband pushed a buggy all around, i think the hills added to the natural layout of the park, wouldnt advise elderly people to try to tackle some of the hills though.... more

My family & I recently went on a day out to Port Lympne & were extremely disappointed with the day for many reasons. We had a voucher for 10% off the entrance price, but were told that this could not be used on a family ticket. Once in the park it was very diffiult to know which way to go... more

We are sorry that you found your visit to Port Lympne disappointing. Unfortunately vouchers can only be redeemed against full priced entry tickets they cannot be used with any other discounts or promotions. The family tickets offered are already discounted which is why you could not use your voucher. The African Safari is offered as an added attraction and as...

I went to Port Lympne in early April during the Easter holidays 2008, with my partner for nice day out, whilst staying in a caravan park nearby. We were dropped off by car at the front gate by my family who live in the area, as you enter the park before paying for admission at the gift shop, there is... more

decided to take my neice and nephew for a trip to Port Lympe as it was one animal park they had never visited having visited most others in the south of england. We were disappointed from the start, firstly they said my 20% discount voucher was not available to use on family admission so we paid full price £44 this... more

My main complaint is the lack of adequate signs around the park. There is meant to be a red (long) route and a blue (short) route around the park. However once you start walking there are no signs to indicate which route you are on. We wanted to take the short route but ended up on the long one. Pushing... more
