Possibly the most depressing, charmless, end of the world dump I have ever been to. Even the nearest pubs are a throwback to the 80s and the nearest towns seem to be operated by charity (thrift) and chip shops. Desolate. Looks like they had an accident at the nuclear plant not so long go. Maybe it's just in the eye...

Having lived on Dungeness it has an eerie atmosphere when the mist envelops it. It's hidden secret? It's home to over 600 plants including a moss found nowhere else on earth. Great fish and chips pubs, the light railway and the old lighthouse give the interest along with the quaint dwellings, some made from old railway carriages, ensure and interesting...

Great place to drop off the car and wander. The Rusty, horrible and dirty railway, sorry the Rhomney Hythe and Dymchurch threads its way across the moonscape with the Nuke power station standing gaurd over the whole place. Spooky and quite all in one. Visit anytime Always different

I can imagine that it would be really rough during a Channel gale, as it juts out into the sea, and is as flat as a pancake. The attractions are...

I've never found anywhere else like it on earth. If the weather is good it's delightful, if the weather is bad it's challenging.
its a place which is totally wierd and original- found it a bit scary to be honest
wow what a find, i suppose it depends on what you want from a place, for me it was a step into the past with all the wonderfull wooden houses dotted around on the shingle, i would love to see it in the summer but even in Jan it is something special, the lighthouses looked great pity the public one...
