Towneley Hall is a great place to visit and if you live in Burnley area it's free. Out of town? there is a small charge but you can visit as many times as you like. Also great woodland walk and cafe and shop area

Large well-maintained gardens worth exploring as there are interesting features and vistas. Fabulous venue for a special occasion or seminar. Shop. Museum. Picture gallery. Guided tour took us into the roof space where I discovered how fancy ceilings were held in position by wires attached to the rafters.

I've spent many a happy hour here with my young children. They're all grown up now but I hope they all have happy memories of the Hall and its beautiful grounds as I do
