Terrible 4 floors of junk, been several times over the years and its slowly got worse tat tat and more tat only thing worth anything is the cafe
We visited here on 22 April 12 as the weather was not good, when we arrived we had a look round and bought some speciality chocolate from a nice gentleman on the ground floor; however everything else just seemed cheap or second hand "tat".
We decided to let our son of 2 years let of some steam in the puddtown...

As previously mentioned in other reviews, stay well clear of the upstairs restaurant. During our visit, we decided to take our young grandson to the restaurant, feed him and have something to eat ourselves. The first impression, was one of complete disorganisation. There were tables unclean and covered with dirty dishes, people disgruntled and complaing that they had been waiting...

After waiting 35 minutes for a sandwich in chips, what eventually arrived was very disapointing. Sad lettuce with a slice of tomato, with a thrown together stale sandwich with fatty chips. Tea didn't come so had to ask again , wished I hadn't,t bothered, more like coloured water.dirty unclean place ,do you get the feeling my last comment would be...

Visited purely so my two lads (ages 8 and 10) could visit the play area, 'Puddletown Pirates'. It is a very large play room and covers most ages so there is plenty to do. My lads spent 3 hours in there and I hardly saw them as they were playing all the time.
Cost £3 per child.
On the down...

The place itself is ok, quite quirky with some interesting things. But steer clear of the cafe upstairs. They served up a veg lasagne that was ice cold in the middle for both of us - plainly just straight from the freezer and inadequately zapped in the microwave. Ok, everyone makes mistakes. But to do it a second time is...

I took my nephews to Puddletown Pirates the other weekend and all i can say is what a difference all the tables are now located in the cafe and downstairs seems alot bigger and cleaner, they have enough benches for parents to sit on and watch their children play. Overall we had a good day and staff were very polite...

Food was abysmal in both eating places. Cake so old the paper was welded to sides of it, cafe staff tried to cut it with a knife AND FAILED. Jacket potato barely warm and salad dirty. 2nd visit, just to give it a chance, WILL NEVER BE A THIRD.
It's free to get in. I assume that is because its so uninteresting and bland.
Basically its just a load of stalls and shops selling stuff no one wants at inflated prices.
We went as a family group on a Saturday. The food in the restaurant was non existant with young people working who had no no experience or knowledge....

Oh dear, what as happened to this place. I must have been here at least 100 times in the past with my kids but lately it has certainly gone down hill. There used to be plenty of tables & chairs downstairs for the grown ups to sit on while the kids are off playing, however these have gone. Instead there...
