Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Managed to park up easily in the main town car park. Found the museum at second attempt, walked past it the first time. It’s only small but crammed with information. There were 2 ladies at reception and they were very lovely. They were full of info about the town and they directed me to the riverside and told me nice places to go. It’s great when you find someone like that, it saves time looking for places, so it was a bonus to chat to them. They are obviously a great asset to that little museum. Loads of things inside and tells the story of the town. I learnt a lot.

What a wonderful addition to the town. Full of interesting things and what an imaginative thing to convert a form public toilet into. The two people on duty were very welcoming and knowledgeable. We were even given a free reusable water to fill from the newly reopened fountain in the town square.

The museum lies near the monument on the high street. although it gives a good history of the town it's very small mainly just one tiny room.

Would have been nice to look round on our own. Unfortunately we were pounced on by the people ‘ in charge’ who talked incessantly. Perhaps there were things worth seeing, but we didn’t manage to see them. Don’t bother going.

We appreciate your frank comments but feel it is disappointing that you didn't manage to see the interesting variety of exhibitions on display last July. Our friendly volunteers try to make visitors welcome and are eager to share their wealth of knowledge. However, you only had to say 'thank you, but we would prefer to look round on our own' then you could have browsed at your leisure.

This is easy to find as it is in center of town. Nice helpful volunteers who gave us a map of town and marked every place we wanted visit for us.(we had not been to town before) The museum is light and bright and well laid out, really interesting local information about people and buildings round town. A area with bygone toy building sets which brought back memories (we are a bit/// aged) Would like to visit again when more time.

This is a tiny museum but full of interesting objects. When we visited there was a special exhibition on the history of the Sharpes Seeds company which used to be a large employer in the area. The museum is staffed by very knowledgeable local people who make excellent guides.

I found this museum on my last visit to Sleaford but unfortunately it was closed.

I'm so glad I tried again. This museum is brilliant, a gem of a place. It's not very large - perhaps the size of a portakabin - but it's crammed with exhibits about agriculture, local Inns, schooling, and even how 'Kesteven County Asylum' pioneered plastic surgery for burned airmen in WWII.

It just goes to show that size isn't important, it's what you do with it. It's well laid out and there's such a range of exhibits all of which are excellent quality. Amazingly it's also FREE although donations are welcome. It's also worth visiting nearbyt Navigation House, - also free - as the two complement each other!

Well done!
